One reason I think some of us in IT get burned out is because it is treated like any other job, when it is actually a trade, and a field that is in dire need of some sort of a guild with apprentice, journeyman, and master levels.
I'm watching a video of a lineman explaining how all the work is being done, and overseeing a 2yr apprentice, who is nearing journeyman, and to have that kind of camaraderie... wistful sigh.
