Today's stumper for any Apple Dock and/or Launch Services experts: what is it about VLC that makes the Dock decide it can open any kind of file dragged onto it?
I don't see any of the usual things in its Info.plist (e.g., public.item, OSType ****, file name extension *)
lsregister shows that VLC’s “bundle flags" includes "wildcard”, but I don't know where it got that from.
