I think we should rethink the characterization of Bitcoin as "Trustless" when talking to normies. Why?
1. The word means something different to normies. 👇 We need to be clear that Bitcoin doesn't require a TRUSTED THIRD PARTY (i.e. its Decentrilized, open source etc)...
2. Being "trustless" is not something we should strive for as a person. Trust is what makes relationships work, and also what makes them so meaningful and valuable.
3. Societies only works with an assumption of trust. Maybe we should articulate how free money can reinforce trust and realign society toward common insentives. In other words, reestablish trust, not eliminate its need.
Thoughts?
