During the pandemic, I had stopped traveling and so I started listening to a lot of podcasts where people bragged about living the “iPad lifestyle”…using an iPad as their primary computing device. I decided to give it a go: big iPad Pro with magic keyboard.
Four years later, I would say that the experiment was a failure. The iPad is a MISERABLE laptop: no file system, the browser experience isn’t great and the programming isn’t great.
But here I am, using it now to type this.
