I could have definitely received a diagnosis of Generalized Anxiety Disorder as far back as early childhood.
As someone who now provides support to people who live with
anxiety (& other MH conditions) I often think about my younger self & how hard it was to interact with the world.
I'm not sure how no one noticed me struggling. Instead, I got labeled 'quiet.' That label haunted me then & still does.
Did you invisibly struggle like this in childhood in the 80s and 90s?
I SO get it.
