update: we deployed a fix for this in the latest version of the `reform-qcacld2` package, which installs a post-installation hook in /etc/kernel/postinst.d that takes care of updating itself after a kernel upgrade.
but to get this rolling, you need to `apt update && apt upgrade` once or at least upgrade the `reform-qcacld2` package.
the updated version is preinstalled on production devices only from around the 190th device. sorry for the inconvenience!
