Amen! I spent my childhood in a small house in the mountains--no plumbing, no electricity, no phone. We were snowed in for months in the winter.
It's been 50+ years, but very time I flick on a switch and lights come on, I appreciate it. Every time I turn on a tap and clean water flows, I appreciate it. And, boy, do I appreciate not hiking to the outhouse!
