I find Muay Thai to be a fighting style that you can actually use in a street fight, if running is not an option.
It's also really enjoyable as you can practice by yourself or with a partner, as opposed to BJJ, which I also tried.
I got into Muay Thai, because I wanted to practice a sport where:
- I have to move my whole body
- I can improve my mobility and become more flexible
- I can learn to defend myself
- there's an aggressive element, which I really enjoyed, when I played Rugby
