Very cool! The usual deal (for me at least) I get paid a day rate and I might pick up the occasional writing part here and there.
The post is a bit in cheek but imagine a whole album made with the splits built in from the day of release, that really would be super cool. Like if the whole recorded was accounted for, eg artwork, mastering, promo budget, the whole thing.
