🚨 ZFS users on Raspberry Pi — avoid kernel 6.12.x upgrades (for now)

If you're running ZFS on your Raspberry Pi: do NOT upgrade to kernel 6.12.x directly.
ZFS won't compile against the new kernel, and even if you retain the old one, your Pi may fail to boot — forcing a full system reinstall.

Safe upgrade path:
After reinstalling, make sure to upgrade the kernel before installing ZFS. This way, ZFS will compile against the new headers.

I'm testing an alternative process on another Pi to see if the following sequence works:

- Stop/disable services that use the ZFS disks
- Export ZFS pools
- Uninstall ZFS
- Upgrade kernel
- Reboot
- Reinstall ZFS
- Import pools
- Restart services that use the ZFS

I’ll report back with results.
