When making music, there's often some kind of vague idea of what it is you'll be making.
What actually comes out is very rarely exactly that though.
One approach is to try and bang the thing you're working on into submission, forcing it to be more like what you thought it was going to be.
Another entirely valid approach is to just go with the flow and instead embrace the thing that it becomes.
I find the latter approach less frustrating and more fun. Nobody knows what you had in mind anyway.
