What do they mean "didn't know where their money was going?" it's largely irrelevant where it was going when they believed that holding XRP was synonymous with investing directly in Ripple the company. Ripple deliberately kept the difference between the operations of the company and the XRP token as obfuscated and blurry as possible and led investors to believe XRP was being used by Ripple's partners when, we now know, they was largely bollocks.
