Sometime in the last year the closed captioning on my TV (or maybe on DirecTV) changed. It's okay on some shows but for the news or anything live, forget about it! My god it's awful.
I can hear, though my hearing isn't great and I have really bad tinnitus. Sometimes I read what the obvious AI caption says and it makes absolutely no sense. Sometimes it doesn't even use real words and is not even close to what is said.
Since most "news" is scripted, I don't understand why they don't fix this
