They aren't seeing any mass retreats/surrenders (a sign of highly successful military conduct) of Russians, so they instead have to cheer on the petty combat operations which most dramatically neutralizes the target. Photos and video of vehicle destruction & mangled/burnt corpses become the only criteria they use to analyze the war. To them, the more graphic the photos/videos, the better the war is going.
