Except ethanol because that's 100% a meme propped up by subsidies that, in a very literal sense, gives you less bang for your buck.
Anyway, it's the same thing with synthetic meat. I absolutely love meat, and I *can* tell the difference, but I'd ignore it if it was even marginally cheaper per pound. I *might* ignore it for environmental reasons if there's a price parity.
