Always assume plotting a murder. It may not always be most realistic, but it's safest. And it keeps life exciting. I don't let my wife keep cherry pits or appleseeds for this very reason.
(And yes, it has come up in conversation. Multiple times. She claims it would 'just be cool to distill poison from plants' but, as I said, it's safer to assume nefarious intent.)
