Fun fact the Mishnah, Babylonian and Jerusalem / Palestinian Talmuds were written after the new testament
Since according to Jews the new testament was written to late after Jesus execution to be a trustworthy account of his words
These books having an even larger time difference between the life of Moses and there written date than that between the new testament and Jesus do not contain Moses words
Presuming Moses existed. If he did not exist they of course also do not contain Moses words.
They are not asking Moses anything they are just fabricating stuff he never said
