npub1v5adusz9snra28f6dvzvw6a60hgl3w2zcxgghd8rdmepcxwtfvnqdu5yax (npub1v5a…5yax) they are mostly bantams so between blackbird and at most wood pigeon sized or very lightly built rare breedsbthat mature slowly which makes youngsters vulnerable .The chick it killed was almost as big as the hawk and similar colouring,from a distance I thought it was the chick at first ,they are a rare breed so more bird like than hen like and they tend to perch tilted forward and often stand quite upright in undergrowth ,very hawk like .(this is my surviving youngster)
