I am really not highly concerned about a "shortage" of tech workers and a supposed need to import them. I believe enough qualified Americans can fill the void while we rebuild that labor category.
What I am concerned about is the severe shortage of skilled labor.
How do you rebuild an aging infrastructure without the steelworkers, carpenters, pipe fitters, welders, operators, etc., etc.?
These jobs require a lot more training and experience than most tech jobs.
