"content": "Fairphone portrays shipping an update 3 years late as providing 3 more years of support than an OEM shipping it on time before end-of-life. Their long term support promises have never passed basic scrutiny, which means the sustainability claims have never passed basic scrutiny either. There isn't proper firmware or software update support from day one, which gets substantially worse over time. An alternate OS does not resolve this, and particularly not one bringing new issues.",
