Genuinely. One of the weirdly nicest bonds I've ever had with an animal was with a pet rat. They are incredibly smart, super personable, recognize you and you can take them around if you put them in your hoodie. Incredibly affectionate little friends who love to interact with you.
But then yeah, our time together was way too short and it devastating and i will never love again, basically.
