Born #onthisday 209 years ago, Ada Lovelace wrote the world’s first computer program (which calculated Bernoulli numbers) [5] and worked with Charles Babbage on the Analytical engine [1,2,3].

Aside: Apparently there is some controversy about who the first computer programmer actually was. The Note G wikipedia page [5] says

"Note G is generally agreed to be the first algorithm specifically for a computer,[1][2][3][4] and Lovelace is considered as the first computer programmer as a result."

Lovelace was also the only legitimate child of poet Lord Byron and Lady Byron [4].
