"content": "I know three Debian-based distros which are immutable: Endless OS, Vanilla OS, Nitrux. But they have a specific target audience.\nAn immutable OS also requires a change of habits. Since you cannot (normally) write to the OS itself, pretty much all work flows are container based.\n\nWhat could be a good compromise is having a file system that can do snapshots and a tool that makes a snapshot before every package operation like apt-btrfs-snapshot.
