I don't pretend to know enough about what is happening within Israel to say whether I agree with the details of this article.
But I'm still haunted by the response to the idea of doing something, anything, to oppose the genocide, when it was brought up on the AoIR mailing list. Israeli academics (many declaring themselves left-wing) rapidly stepped in to justify the mass killing of Palestinians, and to completely derail even the mildest effort at building solidarity or resistance. They played their part in cutting Palestinians off from international aid and support.
I believe that many Israelis have refused to take part in the genocide. But I have been horrified by my small glimpses at how others have facilitated it. (And at the active support they received from around the world.)
