I listen to a lot of podcasts about privacy and technology and the like and a very common response I seem to hear when it comes to dealing the bad uses of AI an other neutral technologies always seems to come down to somebody preaching for more government regulation, which to me is completely asinine.
I think one of the reasons I like Nostr and Bitcoin and foss tech so much is that it's a group of people who are actively trying to out-compete the bad uses of technology for the good, if that makes any sort of sense.
I don't think that government regulations will fix people's (or goverments) proclivities to use technology in a harmful way. A seriously think the way that we win will be to out compete the bad actors.
