A question from my #musician friend trying to record his first album. Any help is appreciated. 🙏
"We are recording a few of our originals next weekend. The guy that's producing us wants me to send some songs from other bands with the vibe/sound we want. This may be a stupid question, but does that mean just send songs that I like the way they sound? I don't really know what vibe we want, or how to describe a "vibe for the recording." We just want to record our originals :lol. Do I send him a Little Feat Song, a song off Till The Medicine Takes, an ABB song, a song by The Band, and call it a day and let him come up with it? I'm kind of at a loss, so any help is appreciated!"
