"content": "if you clean them with salt and water, they rust. clean them with coarse/kosher salt and a paper towel; the coarse salt acts as a mild abrasive for stuck on food and rust. \"season\" the pans with animal fat by coating the cookware in it and wiping away all the excess so there's only a thin coat. finish \"seasoning\" the cookware by placing it in a 350 F oven for like an hour so the fat polymerizes into a black non-stick coating that prevents rusting - don't put too much fat because it will turn into sticky glycerine instead of the polymer you want. clean the pans by wiping with a moist paper towel while still hot; the fat from that cooking session will also polymerize and reinforce the coating.",
