I don’t think that’s inherently different than other times in our history though. I do think it was better when the media, though centralized, used robust fact checking with robust editorial standards. They didn’t get a whole lot *wrong*. The downside was they didn’t catch a lot that was right either. I think we may have it worse now. While most things that are right are out there somewhere we are also flooded with noise that is wrong. I don’t know what the answer is but hopefully we end up somewhere that is, on par, better than now or the past.
