Yes I use hashtags when I feel like the post is good enough to actually advertise haha. I leave some stuff untagged because I feel like it's either too dumb or too personal to interest a wider audience.

Also though, to be fair, I hardly ever post about one of the mains I was referencing... like I still love it a lot and want to talk about it but I have a hard time forming good structured thoughts to post about that feel worthwhile so I usually just don't. So I can't really complain that more people don't interact with me because of it.
