This week I've been manly reading, no. 128.

Having really enjoyed Jackie Wullschlager's recent book on Monet, I decided to go back & read her Chagall: Love & Exile (2008), despite having no real interest in the #artist. Once again its a really compelling combination of #arthistory & #biography which has shifted my view of Chagall considerably. As with the Monet, Wullschlager clearly indentifies the role of #women in the artist's life & accords them their due. Another great bio!

nostr:npub1kt3hutklgrma64ykjwk4trxq9rtyfnxhkjz729g4pd9xl7hzhrjse75004",
