Ugh. . .since you don't what it is, you can use diatomaceous earth pretty effectively against a whole host of crawly critters. Non-toxic for kids and pets. Makes a bit of a mess, but great stuff. Since you don't know where it's (or they) are coming from, you'll have to be a bit indiscriminate with placement. I had a spider problem in my garage and DE took care of it.
