Decent lighting gear has come way down in price over the last few years.
I'm one of those antediluvian types who still believe that content is more important than format.
I use tripods - I don't like the modern film/TV excessive use of hand-held (even if Steadycam stabilized) cameras.
There are some cool cages for things like my DH6 that let one do focus pulling (no, I'm not up for a Hitchcock dolly zoom.)
