I think the answer for now is to make micro apps by third parties using nostr wallet connect to make zaps happen based on in app actions. So you can do two reaction types. One a ❤️ and one a ⚡️ . Both of which post a reaction. The latter is picked up by the web app. This is essentially how games and kindle get around apples restrictions. You can do in app content purchases but from entirely outside the app. It suck’s and I hope regulation will force a change. Because Samsung, Nokia, Mozilla, Microsoft, Palm, Huawei, Blackberry, and others have all spend billions trying to establish a viable competitor to the google / apple duopoly.
We’re not going to win attempting a frontal assault.
This is going to be won with regulation and an advocacy campaign which make the cost of maintaining Apple’s closed ecosystem higher than that of accepting reforms. Users need the right to choose what apps they want to run and to choose how they make payments.
