However, one might expect that a media player that supports downloading of media to local storage would support accessing that downloaded media while offline as basic functionality of a podcatcher.
We have WAY too many assumptions of always-on connectivity for doing some of the most basic things; like playing local media.
Sure, I can write a script that copies some .mp3s to a folder in local storage on my phone...
