#WordWeavers Are real people ever the basis for characters?
Aspects of my immediate family make it into many of my stories. I actually think one thing that makes me a much better writer than I was when I started out is I now have that life experience and have met a pretty varied and wonderful (and not so) set of people, so it's all a data store. I've never based a character completely on someone but I'll pick and choose traits and characteristics.
