I decided I wanted to write, record, and perform music for the rest of my life, but didn't want to rely on it for my income
That has downsides: Needing something to make enough dough to pay the bills is a useful motivating force. There's a reason Shakespeare wrote so many plays!
But on balance, I'm glad I never needed the music to pay my rent
My only demand of it is for the music to make enogh revenue to pay for more recording time lol
