So it helped to slow it down but it still leaked. I suspect cruddy "copper" washers.
I didn't try to anneal them but I did order aluminum ones and to be fair that's what was there to begin with.
Aluminum solved the leak finally. I was going to do bonded ones next lol.
Ty for the advice it did help. I suspect poor quality copper was the problem
