I note the recent death of an important scholar of Tibetan Buddhism. Jeffrey Hopkins, who served for several years as interpreter and translator for the 14th Dalai Lama, leaves behind a huge amount of vital work. A revised version of his classic “Meditation on Emptiness” is coming out in a few months.
