Okay, can I create my own Telegram? Yes, but with all my limited creativity because if I'm hard to handle for Telegram, I'll be blocked from accessing the API.
Can I use end-to-end encryption by default? No! What nonsense! That would cause mistakes and be very complicated.
Well... that doesn't sound very open source to me
