Guns and responsible gun ownership are the technological equalizer.
Until you set up that better society where we don't need the guns, telling us to relinquish them in the meantime is foolish and sets up the dynamic where the status quo prevails, not advanced.
Disarming and making the population weaker to those with the guns is a crazy stance.
