A bit over a year ago my partner told me he wanted to start using a #fountainpen, but he'd only need one pen, not several. He tried several of mine and settled on a Platinum Plaisir.
Two months later he had three pens. By now he has at least nine. Despite only wanting one pen, he has happily kept adding if I offered anything. He likes skinny pens and fat pens, pocket pens and full size pens, fat wet nibs and fine dry nibs. He's started talking about different paper needing different pens.
