This is so true...
In my 20's... I was moving often and it was really only me - so I never had much in the way of kitchen tools. And what I had of those were "cheap in $$ and likely build quality" - but got the job done. I wasn't hosting events.
But overtime - whatever we did pick up - the focus was on build quality...
And those coated pans were fairly high cost... but they just don't hold up over decades. And I'm tired of the throw-a-way concepts...
