About 6 years ago I had to teach a group of apprentices who had never used a computer before, except for a few rare "computer lab" classes they had in school. If they went to public school, they didn't learn much of anything. If they were from a private school, they could probably turn on the computer and browse the internet, but that's about it. I had to teach a young lady from a wealthy background how to log into her device. When I asked her why she didn’t know how to do it, she told me, "Only my dad ever uses the computer."

I've even been to homes of incredibly wealthy people, the kind who buy a new car every few weeks, which is insane wealth in my country, and their kids don’t even have a computer, just tablets and phones. And what do they do with these devices? Spend all day on social media, and maybe play a game or two every now and then. Having access to technology doesn't mean being tech savvy. The generations from the 80s to the 2010s might have been the only ones to actually be more tech-savvy than the average person.
I noticed that Despite being on their phones 24/7 most 17- kids are not tech savvy to almost digital illiterate , what happened ?
