the issue of the spiral grooves on the Petrie's core number 7 is outstanding... like, the rate of penetration of this device into this stone to make this hole like this cannot have even been diamond tipped drills, it was way more effective at cutting the stone by like 60x

i have my mind on the idea that this was some kind of energy based device that basically causes the stone to simply turn into mush as you push it through it, there is also no sign, as far as i can tell, of heat damage so probably not a laser or similar, it seems to me it must have been some kind of sonic/electromagnetic device that changes the composition of the stone without either melting it or mechanically cutting it... and the leading edge of the cut is clearly slowly rotating through the thing, i mean, maybe it could have been some kind of fine drill mounted on a rotating rig, but despite 100 years of controversy this artifact, a piece of trash from the milling of a piece of granite, has still not been subjected to a full forensic analysis
mainly because it is a total anomaly, something we can't even do with modern technology
