First squash has climbed it's twine and hit the metal frame at the top: wonder what I do with it now?
Have to train them daily at the moment: they seem to put on about a 20 cms a day. Think this one is an Uchiki Kuri, which I grow both because baked, stuffed with cream, 'mountain cheese', pepper and nutmeg they are just delicious, but also coz they look fabulous.
Planting into a deep bed of rotted compost has proved to be exactly what these hungry plants want.
