From about halfway in Winnats pass, one of the few photos that comes close to capturing the depth of this rock formation. Not shown, but all around me were jackdaws with their nests high in the cliffs, and Skylarks defying gravity while singing #peakdistrict #nature #hiking The southside trail of the pass is far less frequently used, and thus quiet with little erosion. Plenty of wildflowers and unique plants favoring the combination of limestone and heavy minerals.
