For further fun if they say to put it on the pavement ask them for a copy of the risk assessment for putting black bags on pavements and why they are not brightly coloured.
Had lots of fun with that. Even more fun when I asked them if the bin man putting a bag back into a garden when they refused to collect it was actionable as fly tipping 8)
