"content": "Took a trip to see Thurmond, WV some time back. It was a coal mining community at one point, but its now a ghost town.\n\nThis is an overlook from across the New River Gorge looking down on Thurmond from the bend in the river.\n\nI'd say we're about a mile from Thurmond at this vantage point but it was almost an hour drive to get from the ghost town to the over look.\n\nIt was kind of an interesting drive to see the difference in the mine owners homes mixed in with the mine workers homes.\n\nHeck of a day trip we had!\n\n#newrivergorge #photography #travel #westVirginia #tiktok #bitcoin #zap #nostr #daytrip #roadtrip https://image.nostr.build/e2c541b381012d6d04ab4a430c9e7fe00f2ced1615e7f520311a30334e44cd0e.jpg",
