You know, there's been so much negative events/writing regarding him & his "cult," over the years, but I never got into that aspect of it. I just loved the writing, found it highly evocative, &, as I said, it helped me at a time when nothing else did (certainly not the traditional religion I'd been raised in,) so I'll always feel like I owe him a debt. I tend to feel that way about certain books/authors who were there when I needed them to be.
