Sounds like it. And it's the same constant issue we authors have with the traditional publishing industry.
Dude, word of advice, never, ever, ever publish a book with a traditional publisher. Go indie. Rather borrow the money to pay for cover design, professional editing, marketing (not that traditional publishers do much of that for you, anyway), but go indie. Don't sign away your rights.
I gather it's similar with the music industry? :/
